The Challenge
This garden presented a significant challenge due to its steep gradient, making it difficult to access, maintain, and fully enjoy. The uneven terrain limited usable space and created safety concerns, while the overall layout lacked structure and visual appeal. Our Solution
Macavis approached the project with a carefully considered stepped design, maximising both usability and aesthetics. By introducing a series of well-constructed levels, we created defined zones that are easy to navigate and make the most of the available space.

Retaining walls were expertly installed to stabilise the slope and provide long-lasting structural support. We incorporated safe, practical access points with durable steps and pathways, ensuring the garden is now fully accessible.

Each tier was thoughtfully designed to serve a purpose—whether for seating, planting, or leisure—bringing both functionality and visual interest. High-quality materials and finishes were selected to complement the surroundings and enhance durability.
