Working Around Port of Ramsgate

We were asked to analyse a mixed waste bund, ensure no hazardous substances were present, then dig and remove approximately 5,000 tonnes of material. The project involved not just our direct client, but the Port of Ramsgate and two additional companies with an interest in the land. Understanding those relationships and the different needs of every stakeholder was as important as the groundwork itself.

Keeping Network Rail on Schedule

Our customer needed grab lorry cover throughout a 14-hour Network Rail possession, from 10am Sunday through to midnight. The penalties for overrunning a possession are severe, so we put two grab lorries in place on staggered intervals and had contingency plans ready from the outset. The possession ran without issue.

Delivering Through Eurotunnel Security

The Eurotunnel compound at Folkestone is a high-security border zone. Vehicle registrations, driver names, and precise delivery windows all have to be submitted in advance. We built in earlier start times and maintained close communication with the customer throughout, so every truck cleared security and hit its window on time.
